  Allison Landale

Allison Landale turned 7 acres into 56 acres. But then, most accountants know how to multiply.

When her parents were running The Bars Farm in the mid and late 80's, Allison Landale wasn't there. She was over a hundred miles away working as an accountant in Boston. But by the early 90's, dreams of vegetables and flowers overpowered the reality of credits and debits and Allison came home.

She took the small, 7-acre plot with accompanying vegetable cart and quickly turned it into a 56-acre farm complete with five greenhouses and a thriving retail stand. Despite the enormous growth, Allison still insists on harvesting everything by hand. And because she is constantly striving to improve flavor and quality, she has little time for selling her produce outside her farm stand.

Red Tomato is fortunate enough to be able to bring Allison Landale's produce to your grocery store. Her tomatoes are ripe, delicious and farm fresh. And, like Allison, you don't see them in the city very often.
