Tonetta’s Tomato, Mozzarella & Basil Salad


  • 3-4 ripe tomatoes cut in 1/8s
  • 6-7 basil leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 pound mozzarella cut into small pieces
  • 1/3 cup EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
  • 1/3 cup wine vinegar
  • 3 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp. of dried oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste


Into a large bowl add all ingredients and stir gently. Let salad sit for at least an hour, stirring occasionally. Serve.
